County Squirrel Pirate Day 2025
Ships Ahoy!
On a sunny day in May, 11 Squirrel Pirates (and their leaders) headed off to Top Barn in Worcester to embark on a day of exciting pirate adventures and what a fantastic day we had!
The highlight of our day was when we climbed aboard a pirate ship and set sail on the lake in our katakanus. Some of our intrepid explorers were a little nervous to start with but every Squirrel took part and thoroughly enjoyed the experience—they were also very good at paddling!
Other activities included making a tie dye t-shirt, designing a pirate flag, walking the plank, archery and a good old sing-song around the campfire. We were definitely the loudest!
After a busy and warm day, we finished off with a water fight and the Squirrels took great delight in soaking the grown ups.
Thank you Squirrels for a fantastic day and a big thank you to all those who came along to help.
It was a fabulous day of friendship and fun– just what Scouting is all about.
